Visit Prince George and not only will you find wilderness and wildlife, you will also discover a modern city in the heart of BC's Interior. Situated in the middle of an endless spruce forest, the city boasts of over 120 parks within its city limits.

Although Prince George has a rich and interesting history, it has since developed into a large cosmopolitan city and offers visitors a large selection of top quality hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and several full service campgrounds for their accommodation needs. Extensive shopping and more than 100 restaurants complement the thousands of businesses and services found in our rapidly expanding city.

Prince George is continually growing more beautiful as the years go by. Overlooking the city on Cranbrook Hill, we now have the 4 year University of Northern British Columbia - which opened in September 1994. In September 2004, UNBC will begin its Northern Medical Program. We also have a lovely Civic Centre Plaza close to our extensive Public Library and also a multiplex CN Centre at the Exhibition Park. This large venue allows for high quality sports and entertainment to now make Prince George a destination stop. We have the beautiful Two Rivers Art Gallery and two swimming pools.
